Rim

• Petrof original.
• The inner rim - laminated, 13 solid beech and birch lamels.
• CNC machined for high accuracy.
• Outer rim - laminated from birch plywood lamels.
• Inner face veneered horizontally by Ebony Makassar.
• Total rim thickness is 78 mm.

 

Very stout rim ensures long term tuning stability and action regulation stability. Strong rim and numerical working supports the proper crown of sound board, which conduces to precious color tone. Rare Ebony on the inner face supports noble appearance of piano.

 

 

Frame Posts

• Four longitudinal spruce posts, one additional descant post made from compressed beech wood Lignamon, one cross spruce posts.
• Joints of the posts and rim - fish tailed + beech dowels.
• Cross block of wooden frame is reinforced by profiled steel rail.
• Wooden frame is CNC worked.

 

A total of six frame posts and reinforcing of cross block by steel rail ensure its extraordinary form stability. Last descant post made from Lignamon conduced to bright tone of high frequencies. CNC working ensures perfect accuracy, which conduces to exact tone of this instrument.

 

 

Legs

• Petrof original.
• Solid beech core, solid alder outer lining, Gabon counter veneer, decorative veneer.
• Prolonged legs are 625 mm.

 

Robust legs construction ensures high piano stability when played dynamically.

 

 

Iron Plate

• Czech producer.
• Gray cast iron, wet sand casted, hand finished, CNC worked.
• New color.

 

CNC working ensures high accuracy of string scaling. Bright color shade supports noble look of piano.

 

Iron Plate Support

• Adjustable steel bolt between iron plate and cross block of wooden frame.

 

Support of iron plate increases its form stability, resulting better tuning stability.

 

 

Hardware Fittings

• Petrof original.
• Solid polished brass, lacquered and stain resistant.

Pin Block

• Special compressed beech plywood Multiples type, density 800 –850 kg/m3, made with using moisture resistant glue.

 

Pin block is high resistant to climatic changes, providing stable torque of tuning pins and high tuning stability.

 

 

Soundboard

• Petrof original.
• Soundboard is made from European spruce wood.
• It's asymmetric crowned, diaphragmatic tapered from 9 mm under the bridge to 7 mm along its perimeter.
• It's new shaped in descant arc.

 

Asymmetric crown and diaphragmatic tapering of the soundboard gives piano great output in the whole tonal range. Piano sounds enough even in big concert halls.

 

 

Ribs

• Petrof original.
• Ribs are made from European spruce wood.
• They are individually asymmetrically shaped, tips are hand fitted. Corner cross rib is laminated from beech lamels to arc form, CNC worked.

 

Individually asymmetric shaped ribs support asymmetric crown of the soundboard. Proper soundboard crown participates on nice piano sound. Arc cross rib makes better conditions for vibrations of the soundboard.

 

 

Bridges

• Petrof original.
• Treble bridge - solid beech body, maple top cap in the middle section, top genuine ebony cap in top descant section.
• Bass bridge - solid beech body, top maple cap.
• Bridge is lightened by horizontals holes. Top caps are graphite coated, hand notches, hand drilled for pins.

 

Maple and Ebony caps of treble bridge support bright tones of middle and treble frequencies. Lightened bass bridge enables excellent good sounding of low tones.

 

 

Scale

• Agraffes, front and rear pretuned duplexes.
• Laser positioning of duplex bridges (frets).
• Single string hitching in the whole range.

 

Using of agraffs and duplexes shares in rich color of the piano.

 

 

Tuning Pins
