The HAILUN piano company is owned by Mr. Hailun Chen
was originally the Ningbo Piano Parts Factory. What began as a company that produced the most sought after, highest quality parts for pianos all over the world has evolved into an award winning piano manufacturer.
The Hailun Company began as a successful manufacturer of piano parts to the world’s piano market. They have been used by a variety of makers, including several of Europe’s most prestigious manufacturers and they developed a reputation for consistency and quality. In 1986, Hailun became an independent company and, using the newest and most advanced technologies, began to produce pianos.
Since 2001, HAILUN has invested heavily in Japanese and
German digital equipment and employed some of the finest
names in piano design and production.
Up until 2005, Hailun was making their own instruments, but were also providing manufacturing and partial manufacturing to many other companies. It was at this time that Mr. Chen Hailun decided that rather than putting so much energy into serving other manufacturers, he would concentrate solely on developing a worldwide reputation for his own product, the Hailun piano.

Director of Tuning/Voicing
Sibin worked at the famous European firm of Bösendorfer, he has over 20 years experience. He specializes in tuning, voicing, and maintenance of sound quality. Sibin is not only responsible for the tuning of Hailun Pianos, but also developed and manages the training program required. |

Senior Technical Adviser
A specialist from Austria with 30 years of piano building experience, Peter is part of a long family tradition in Vienna, which has hundreds of years of piano building experience. Trained from the time he was a child, he became at the age of 22, the youngest person in Austria to become a licensed producer of pianos.

Stephen Paulello & assistant Claire Pichet
Production Director
French piano designer, concert pianist and university professor for piano and chamber music. Completed
his technical education with Bechstein and Steinway & Sons
piano companies. His grand piano designs have won numerous awards.
Responsible for training and education of piano technicians in France, including the master associations AFARP and ITEMM.

In 2005, CCTV reported that HAILUN pianos had entered into the mainstream piano market with a quality instrument that meets European standards. Prestigious European owners such as the University of Music, Austrian University of Music Brussels Conservatories, Paris Chamber, Henry wood Hall London and Wien Music Seminar Vienna Musikverein, Vienna are experiencing the quality and performance of HAILUN. In 2005, the European Chinese Association held a peace celebration: HAILUN Company was once again chosen and featured in a performance at the Golden Concert Hall in Vienna. This event was made more significant because it was the first time a Chinese made piano was featured in the Viennese Golden Concert Hall.

That same year, the HAILUN piano receives an award "China's Top Brand Name". This award, presented only once every three years, has only been awarded to three other manufacturers of China's 200 piano producing companies'. This marks the first time that a privately held non-government company has been awarded this very distinguished honor.

In 2008, Hailun Piano was chosen for 08 Olympic performance and was awarded the International Six Golden Star Medal by the European authority music magazine DIAPASON. It was the first time when a Chinese piano was awarded such a high honor in the world leveled European authority piano contest.
In 2009, Hailun Piano Company was authorized as a national leveled industrial culture demonstrative site, and a national culture export keystone company.
In January 2010, Hailun Piano was sampled by China Light Industry Musical Instrument Quality Supervise & Exam Center for piano music quality examination.
CNC (Computer Numerical Control) governs both production and assembly line processes as a part of Hailun’s objective to ensure that the quality of product meets world standards. “Five Axis Machining” is used throughout the production process. This technology ensures that all components are machined to exacting specifications and guarantees a precision outcome every time with each component manufactured.
Today, HAILUN pianos have received international praise and acclaim.
With an astonishing 80% of its production being exported to Europe, Japan, America and other parts of the world with more than 580 dealers and growing.
